If you've ever wanted to make a basket, this class is for you.

Twill Basket
February 7th | 10am-5pm
Culpeper Parks and Rec
Experienced weavers will enjoy the challenge of a twill weave. This sturdy tote is both functional and beautiful, with a rhythmic pattern that makes the design shine.
Prior weaving experience is required. The instructor will provide smoked (brown) reed for contrast, or students may bring their own dyed reed. The basket is equally striking when left natural.
Please note: this class is not suitable for first-time or beginner weavers.
Be sure to bring lunch, snacks, and drinks. Participants will work through lunch so everyone will leave with a completed basket.
Cost $105

Round Basket w/ Handle (Apple-Picking Basket)
February 28th | 10am-4pm
Culpeper Parks and Rec
Weavers with prior experience will enjoy the challenge of creating a round basket using a new technique called twining. A swing handle makes this design both functional and beautiful, moving easily out of the way for simple storage. Perfect for harvesting fruit or eggs, this basket will make a charming and useful addition to any home.
Please note: this class is not suitable for first-time weavers, but anyone with previous basket weaving experience is welcome.
Be sure to bring lunch, snacks, and drinks. Participants will work through lunch so everyone will leave with a completed basket.
Cost $95

Harvest Basket
March 7th | 10am-5pm
Culpeper Parks and Rec
The Harvest Basket was designed with the garden in mind—big, beautiful, and built to last. Suitable for participants with prior weaving experience (even just one basket), this project creates a functional piece measuring 16–18 inches long, 10 inches wide, and 8 inches tall (14 inches tall with handles).
Featuring three handles—bushel handles on either side for heavy loads and a traditional center handle for lighter items like flowers, greens, or herbs—the Harvest Basket is reinforced at the base for added strength. Practical and elegant, it’s the perfect companion for harvesting or home use.
Be sure to bring lunch, snacks, and drinks. Participants will work through lunch so everyone will leave with a completed basket.
Cost $115
